Rachel Cannon Chase

Started my design journey at NC State University in the College of Design where I majored in graphic design. Entering the “real-world” with a couple agency jobs, found my home at the Carolina Hurricanes in-house production team for five years as the motion graphic designer. From there, tried my hand at agency life again, but was recruited to start the creative department at MDO Holdings.

I have been the Creative director at MDO Holdings now for six years, working with our in house marketing team on numerous brands. From inception to established brands, I have helped grow O2 Fitness, Midtown Yoga, BB’s Crispy Chicken, Durham Food Hall, Rosecomb Beer Garden, and many more companies within MDO Holdings.

My passion is growing brands—creating and pushing them to be better everyday. With a keen attention to detail—if it’s off by a pixel, I’ll see it—and ability to still see the big picture, I help bring campaigns, brands, and more to life. With campaigns needing 8+ touch-points with a consumer, it’s important to create consistency across all mediums. I believe that design should never hinder function, and great design increases function and the bottom line.

Currently living in Raleigh, NC with my husband and our two kids, Audrey (3 years) and Owen (1 year). Enjoy exploring our city, trying new restaurants, and escaping to the beach.
